RIVERRATS with Salix from Riverlink Mondays Grades K-2nd
Explore local streams and learn about freshwater ecosystems with RiverRATS! (River Recreation and Appreciation Through Science). This club will cover STEM topics related to watershed science using hands-on science tools and experiences. Some weeks, students will take a van to visit a local waterway to catch aquatic critters and explore the water. Other weeks, they will use play and experiential education to learn concepts of environmental science and create nature-based art projects. A schedule will be provided. For the field trip weeks, students should come prepared with water shoes, a bathing suit, or clothes they don't mind getting wet /dirty, a towel, and a bag for wet things. Students will be leaving at 3:00, and a Bright IDEAS’ staff member will also be going along. Check out their website Riverlinkfor more information.
